10 Important things you should never do on your Android Phone

Here are few things you should never do on your Android Phone:
1. Installing apps from an unknown source:

Keep in mind, apps from unknown resource are pirated ones. Google doesn’t have any control over them. It can turn out to be malicious, it can even track you and your data and will surely affect your privacy. So, please do not install apps from random websites. All verified and genuine apps are present in the Google play store. If in case it’s not available there, use trustworthy, reputed websites for Apps download.

2. Killing apps from the Recent menu (tab):

Killing apps from recent tab thinking your RAM will be cleared and your phone will become super-fast like a rocket is just a myth. Android is intelligent enough to know, how to handle your phone memory. If there is a shortage of RAM, it will itself kill (Clean apps) or even place their data in cache memory. Basically, it’ll take care of everything. If you clean it manually, then those apps will have to restart from the beginning (zero) and load all the required data again which will consume a lot of your battery juice and your processor will also have to handle an extra load. It’ll reduce the performance of your phone in a long run.

3. Using an Anti-Virus app:

Android phones do not require any antivirus applications, unlike computers which do. Do not relate your android phone to a computer here. Download apps from Play store and trustworthy sites like I said above and you’ll have no problem of virus attacks. Antivirus apps will put a lot of load on your phone processor and battery for scanning apps and other processes.

4. Using Battery saving apps:

People are behind saving their battery so that it does not turn off before the end of the day. But do you know what battery saver apps do? Again, the same things I have mentioned above. It basically kills apps and reopening apps, in turn, kills your battery. How ironic isn’t it? It also does some useful works like turning off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, etc. when not required. But all these, you can do it for yourself. You do not need these battery saver apps for these works. The cons of having it are more than the pros.

5.. Installing Fake apps:

10 Important things you should never do on your Android Phone

Fake apps are something a little different then the first point I have mentioned. People want to play GTA V on android phones. And there is a ton of videos on YouTube showing how to sideload it. I mean how will a 50+ GB game on your computer turn into a 2GB game on your phone? Even if the government itself release apps like for example say BHIM, there were tons of other apps with similar names which do not work first of all and also might cause some problems to your phone. Another example: There is no IRIS scanner on your phone, but just by installing an app you get IRIS scanner, same holds good with quick charging. I mean wow!!!! You need to know that some of the important functionalities in the phone are hardware and software dependent and you just cannot add something that with just an app installation.

6. Clearing cache memory:
10 Important things you should never do on your Android Phone

Stop installing cleaner app right from today. Click a button and get more memory. No, don’t do that. I’ll illustrate with an example: Say you search for something on Google maps, now this data will be saved in the cache memory which is most of the times very small in size so that next time when you open the app, the app need not load things again from the internet for you. This is just a temporary memory. In case your exhausted-on memory then you can do this manually, there is no need for apps which exert an extra unnecessary load on processors. Now you might ask me, then why do some phones come with pre-installed cleaner apps? These app companies reach out to brand asking them to install it for a payment, and that is why brands install it which they shouldn’t be doing.

7. Trusting fake messages:

You keep getting messages on WhatsApp telling installing this app will give you lifelong free WhatsApp, arrey yaar, WhatsApp is free as of now if in case it starts charging you’ll get an automatic update which will explain you more about it. Stop installing red, gold, yellow WhatsApp. And yeah there is one more fake news which is trending now a days, it’s about how you can extend your Jio limit and what not. Please do not install such things, it might in turn cause problems to your phone.

8. Rooting without knowing:

If you don’t know what rooting is, what are the advantages, the next procedure for rooting, your real purpose of rooting, then please don’t try doing it. It will break your phone warranty and you might also end up bricking your phone (dead phone).

9. Ignoring app permission messages:
10 Important things you should never do on your Android Phone

The latest version of Android has this feature where you can grant permission for apps. This is to do a manual verification. For example, You want to video call a person using WhatsApp, now for that obviously, it needs the camera of your phone, for that you need to grant permission. But say if your torch application is asking for GPS permission. Why will it ever need GPS to turn on the flash? In that case, you’ll have to decline it and stop using such apps. The amount of technology has improved a lot of things for good, but at the same time, people misusing it also has increased. So, stay safe.

10. Not restarting your phone:

Just like our lives where we commit mistakes but later wished that it never happened. At times, we also think we could restart certain things in life. The same holds good with smartphones, they do create some useless data’s which is in the background and might slow down your phone. So, restarting your phone once in a while gives it a fresh and energetic start.

Thank you, hope you liked it. Please do comment if you have any queries regarding this topic, and you can also suggest me to write about any other technology topic and I will consider it.
